CGA G-5 provides information on the physical and chemical properties of hydrogen and proper handling and use. It is intended to provide background information for personnel involved in the manufacture, distribution, and use of hydrogen. This publication provides important safety and operational information about hydrogen and serves as a reference for material in other CGA hydrogen publications.

CGA H-3, an American National Standard, contains the suggested minimum design and performance requirements for shop-fabricated, vacuum-insulated cryogenic tanks (vertical and horizontal) intended for above ground storage of liquid hydrogen.
