27 January 2022
DJB Machinery has expanded its fleet with an order of 16 tracked platform crawlers from Multitel UK & Ireland.
DJB Machinery, which is based in East Sussex, specialises in the sale of forestry equipment.
With this order of the SNX250 model, it takes the number of Multitel spiderlifts purchased by the firm to 28.
The SMX250 has a maximum working height of 25.2m, a clean design, a boom made of aluminium, a dual drive with combustion engine and electric motor.
At its maximum horizontal outreach of 11.6 metres, the platform’s capacity is 80kg, rising to 250kg at 7.9m outreach.
The compact size and a weight is 2,600kg making it possible to carry the spider on a trailer and access confined places.
It also comes with a 360° turret rotation and the basket with 90°+90° rotation, which enables the operator to move around obstacles and be positioned precisely at the work area.
In November 2020, DJB Machinery became the official distributor of the SMX range, but only to arborists; with Multitel UK continuing to deal directly with the rest of its customers, both for sale and hire.
Between January and February, DJB Machinery managing director Daniel Bryce, will be in Manta visiting the factories and consolidating a partnership to better promote the SMX range in the UK.
