Michelin has acquired Fenner, PLC, a company that owns EGC Critical Components. The acquisition, which was announced in March, puts EGC Critical Components under Michelin’s umbrella.

EGC Critical Components will be operated as an independent division within Michelin. Major changes to EGC Critical Components are not expected, said Mike Boylan, the company’s managing director, in a letter to customers on June 1.

Michelin, headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France, has more than 114,000 employees and operates 70 production facilities in 17 countries.

“Both Michelin and Fenner Group are looking forward to the new synergies to improve the scale of the combined entities,” Boylan said in the letter. “Sincere efforts to accelerate those synergies will certainly enhance our long-term relationships.”
