Registration for a training workshop sponsored by the European Forum for Reciprocating Compressors started recently. The workshop will be held on Sept. 20 and Sept. 21 in Delft, the Netherlands.

The topics covered include basic design and operation of reciprocating compressors, thermodynamics, condition monitoring and operation and maintenance.

The EFRC will offer a separate series of talks focusing on the challenges of hydrogen compression. Topics for discussion include the future outlook for hydrogen, compressor selection and sizing, electrolyzers, fatigue strength and embrittlement and pulsation and vibration control.

The training seminar includes a range of instructors from TNO, Burckhardt, Shell, NEAC, Hoerbiger, Air Liquide and Baker Hughes.

“We managed to attract a skilled team of volunteer speakers. It will be a face-to-face event: a great opportunity for networking and socializing in the beautiful city of Delft,” the EFRC said.
