Baker Hughes launches Oxygen analyzer

XMO2pro designed for longevity in hazardous locations, company says

Baker Hughes has launched the XMO2pro, an advanced oxygen analyzer designed to ensure greater levels of stability, accuracy and reliability.

Oxygen gas analysis is key to safety, efficiency and control in industrial and energy processes – the presence of oxygen can cause corrosion and, when combined with other gases, can lead to explosions, fires or harmful fumes. Leveraging 60 years of analyzer expertise, Baker Hughes’ new Panametrics solution will enable customers to improve safety performance and realise efficiency gains across energy and industrial sectors, including oil & gas, biogas, pharmaceutical and steel.

The XMO2pro is designed for longevity in hazardous locations and accurately measures 0.01% to 100% of oxygen concentration in gases. It has no moving parts and uses paramagnetic technology to enable advanced rapid, reliable and accurate detection of oxygen concentration.

Safety Integrity Level certified, the analyzer is explosion-proof, flame-proof, weather-proof and insensitive to vibrations. With a built-in display, the XMO2pro is also compact, ideal for tight spaces and Modbus enabled, streamlining the monitoring process and allowing advanced connectivity across customers’ networks. Built to last, it requires little calibration and will enable customers to reduce their overall cost of oxygen analyzer ownership.

The XMO2pro will enable enhanced safety performance and realize efficiency opportunities across many market sectors and applications including: inerting applications in reactors and hydrocarbon storage; biogas upgrading in wastewater treatment and landfill sites.
