Atlas Copco has completed two acquisitions recently. The first is the purchase of FITEC S.A.S., a French distributor of compressors. The company is specialized in the sales and service of rotary screw compressors and ancillary equipment and mainly sells to small and medium-sized industries.
FITEC is a privately owned company and is based in Tarnos close to Bayonne in the Southwest of France. The company has 8 employees.
“This acquisition is an opportunity to strengthen our presence in the Southwest area of France,” said Vagner Rego, Business Area President Compressor Technique. The purchase price is not disclosed. FITEC will become part of the service division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.
The acquisition of FITEC came one day after Atlas Copco announced the purchase of Bireme Group, a Singapore-based company specialized in the treatment of compressed air and gas. Bireme Group is a privately owned company with a sales network in Southeast Asia.
The company specializes in the treatment of compressed air and gas for a broad spectrum of industries ranging from electronics, food and beverage, chemical refineries, and hospitals. It is headquartered in Singapore with a service center in Malaysia and has 20 employees.
“Bireme’s expertise, technical know-how and geographical coverage makes it a good fit for us,” said Vagner Rego, Business Area President Compressor Technique. “This acquisition will increase our local presence and accelerate business development in the Asia Pacific region.”
The purchase price is not disclosed. The company will become part of the Industrial Air division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.
