Neptune Energy Begins Adorf Field Production
04 November 2020
Neptune Energy has started gas production from the Adorf Carboniferous development in northwestern Germany. The first results were favorable after drilling the Adorf Z15 appraisal well in the municipality of Emlichheim, the company said.
Subsequent production tests indicated flow rates of up to 1700 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day (gross). The well reached a final depth of 11,482 ft. (3500 m) in February. A modern processing plant that will treat the natural gas is already constructed on the site.
Neptune is the operator of the Adorf field. Wintershall Dea is a joint venture partner. Neptune’s share in the Adorf Z15 well is 67%.
