More Sensors For MRU 400 GD Meter/Detector

09 April 2020

MRU Instruments, Humble, Tex., has released five additional interchangeable sensors for its 400 GD meter/detector, which can be used for a variety of gas or moisture detection and measuring applications in compressor stations, petrochemical processing installations and refineries, gas turbines, CHP systems, etc. Introduced last year, the 400 GD is engineered to integrate detection and measurement capabilities into a single device with easily interchangeable sensor heads.

The new sensors expand the measurement capabilities for methane, propane and hydrogen to now include refrigerants (CFC, HFCS, HFO), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), IAQ (humidity/dewpoint, temperature, atmospheric pressure) and IR temperature. A 9.84 in. flexible sensor neck is designed to enable measurement in hard-to-reach areas.

The unit displays values and trending data on a color touchscreen display that is engineered to be highly visible. The user can set limit alerts, which can be audible, visual or vibration. Measurements are saved to an onboard SD card or can be output to an optional printer.

The 400 GD is powered by lithium-ion battery that provides 20 hours or operation between charges via a mini-USB socket. The 5.31 x 1.97 x 0.98 in. housing is IP30 rated

MRU’s instruments are designed and manufactured in Germany, with support, service, and calibrations handled from the Texas location.
