Indonesia seen as a fast-growing market for turbomachinery, aftermarket services

Ebara Elliott Energy (EEE) has opened a new service center in Indonesia, PT Ebara Turbomachinery Services Indonesia (ETSI). ETSI is the first joint venture between Ebara Elliott Turbomachinery Corp. and Ebara Corp.

The new 4,437-square-meter service center is located in the Suryacipta City of Industry in Karawang, West Java, and in close proximity to the commercial capital of Jakarta. ETSI has been in this region since 2015, with an office in Jakarta and a repair facility in Bandung.

“Indonesia is a fast-growing market for turbomachinery and aftermarket services, and we are excited to expand upon ETSI’s existing presence there through a new service center,” said Matthew Rhodes, EEE Vice President of Global Service. The service center will focus on supporting customers in the growing energy markets of oil & gas, petrochemical, power, and fertilizer in Indonesia, as well as in nearby countries. It will service both EEE turbines and gas compressors, Ebara custom pumps, and equipment from other turbomachinery manufacturers.

“This investment brings together state-of-the-art repair technology for rotating equipment with the latest diagnostic equipment and necessary tools to provide one-stop repairs, and offer a full range of turbomachinery inspection and repair services that meet or exceed our customers’ operational requirements,” said Calvin Tan, President Director, ETSI.
