Coronavirus Fears Lead To Postponement Of Asia Turbomachinery Show

02 March 2020

The Asian Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium, originally scheduled for April 7-9 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has been postponed because of concerns about the spread of the coronavirus disease, organizers said.

New dates will be announced soon, according to event organizers.

The symposium is designed as both an exhibition and an educational forum for working engineers in both the turbomachinery and pump industries.

The event is at least the third industry trade show that has either been canceled or postponed because of the coronavirus. Last week, the Oman Petroleum & Energy Show announced it would move its event from March 9-11 to Sept. 14-16. Sea Japan 2020, which was scheduled for March 11-13, has also been postponed. No new dates have been announced.
